The surrounding districts of Motta such as Huletu Eju Enese, Sede, Enebese-ser Midir, Enargi Enawega, Goncha and Biwugn will be a target of the Motta RTC project, and the aim is to link up smallholder farmers with industries in a bid to reinforce the value chain and accelerate rural economy. The RTC contains agri-business, commercial and social infrastructure which includes
processing facilities, training centres as well as health centres. The social infrastructure provides the necessary support for the occupant industries in the RTC.
The Amhara Region Industrial Park Development Corporation (IPDC) is the proponent for this project and will be responsible for the implementation of the Environmental and Social Management and Resettlement Action Plans.
Maize, wheat, Barely, teff, potato, live animal (cattle, sheep, goat), dairy, meat, poultry and honey, are the main target agricultural products.
Hulet Eju Enese is one of the weredas in the Amhara Region of Ethiopia. Part of the Misraq Gojjam Zone, it is bordered on the south by Debay Telatgen, on the west by Bibugn and Goncha, on the northwest by the Mirab Gojjam Zone, on the north by the Abay River (which separates it from the Debub Gondar Zone), on the east by Goncha Siso Enese, and on the southeast by Enarj Enawga. Among the towns in this administrative division are Keraniyo, Mota and Sede.
